We discuss the Netflix K-Drama series All of Us Are Dead and when season 2 will be released.
Korean TV has seamlessly merged into the mainstream over the last couple of years, essentially becoming a standalone genre of its own, one that is highly successful and unquestionably lucrative for streaming giants Netflix, who have capitalized on this ultra-popular pocket of pop culture. The likes of Squid Game and Hellbound have brought in billions of viewing hours for the company, quickly making Korean drama the hot topic of the moment.
Another hit series for Netflix is the zombie, coming-of-age horror series All of Us Are Dead, which debuted in January 2022, and just like the other Korean shows mentioned above, was swiftly renewed for a follow-up season. As time ticks by, fans across the globe will be desperate to find out when exactly the eagerly anticipated second season will be released?
What is All of Us Are Dead about?
The South Korean series takes place during a modern-day zombie apocalypse, centering specifically on the students of Hyosan High School, where the outbreak originates from. As the virus spreads throughout the school, the students must battle for their own survival, taking on an army of vicious zombies, who were once their peers and teachers.
Science teacher, Mr. Lee is the creator of this catastrophic zombie invasion. He saw his own son being bullied at the school and tried to make him stronger with his mad, scientific experimentations. Unfortunately, this resulted in his son transforming into a zombie instead. The school then became the epicenter of the outbreak, although Mr. Lee may have an antidote for the virus, after all, hidden away on his school laptop. Can the students escape the school without succumbing to the zombie hordes themselves and can the authorities rescue Mr. Lee’s laptop in time to end this disastrous plague?
Will All of Us Are Dead season 2 be coming to Netflix?
The first season of All of Us Are Dead premiered on Netflix on January 28, 2022. It was an exclusive, original title for the streaming service, produced in partnership with JTBC Studios and Film Monster. A second season of the zombie series was commissioned on June 6, 2022, by Netflix, who will be streaming the follow-up series as well.
Netflix is renowned for its ability to predict, with scary accuracy, just what will be popular in the mainstream and to then capitalize on this early success with subsequent hits. This does eventually lead to a kind of oversaturation, but for the time being, Korean drama is still very much in vogue. Netflix seems more than happy to continue producing new Korean content for the foreseeable future and renewing old favorites as well.
When will All of Us Are Dead season 2 be released?
Netflix made it official during their annual Geeked Week event that a second season was in the works, yet there is still no word on a specific release date. After this initial announcement, sources revealed that the show had entered pre-production, but we are uncertain whether they have begun filming just yet. It would be easy to speculate on a release schedule, but it seems likely that season two will air in late 2023 or early 2024. The creators always had a second season in mind, so hopefully, it can live up to the same standards as the previous season or even surpass it in quality. As always, we will keep you posted on any updates concerning the release date of All of Us Are Dead season 2.
How many seasons of All of Us are Dead are they?
Netflix have not confirmed how many seasons they have in the pipeline for All of Us Are Dead. There will be at least two seasons. Whether or not they may opt for more is still to be learned.

I watched the first season of All of us are dead, and it was amazing. It in general deserves another season, I really want to see Chang-San appear in the next season. His remains were not shown, If the bombing had destroyed everything, On-Jos name tag would have also perished. Even though it showed that Nam-Ra could not sense Chang-San or Gwi-Nam, maybe the dust and debris was blocking her senses. The next season hopefully shows more zombie survival and more plot twists.
I cried to the show of all of us are dead and I really want to see the 2 season
