Season 1 Episode 8 focuses on Daisy Jones and the Six’s eventful country-wide tour to promote their debut album ‘Aurora.’ Tensions rise as Daisy (Riley Keough), and her new husband Nicky (Gavin Drea) step up their drug intake and party harder than ever, while Billy (Sam Claflin) questions this new relationship, throwing doubt into the mix. It is a slight improvement on Episode 7 but still lacks the spark of the earlier installments. The rockstar cliches and done-to-death romances are starting to drag. Here’s what happened in episode eight of Daisy Jones and the Six:
- Daisy returns to California, and the band’s upcoming tour is in utter disarray. They plan their setlist, but Daisy wants to include two of her songs. Billy argues with this decision, and all their past grievances are dissected.
- The band hired tour manager Rod Reyes. Billy and Daisy make outlandish demands, asking for two separate tour buses and an extravagant collection of outfits. The label agrees to every request.
- The tour starts successfully, with Billy and Daisy connecting on stage. Daisy’s husband, Nicky, watches from the sidelines. The band party hard, doing plenty of drugs, but Billy keeps away from that side of the tour.
- Teddy is offered a new sports car and much more to stay working for the record company.
- A press conference ends disastrously. Daisy wants to tell the truth, but Billy lies about the lyrics and the setlist. They argue again. Daisy calls Billy a liar, although Billy suspects Daisy is lying too. He thinks Daisy isn’t actually in love with Nicky.
- Camila joins the tour for a little while. She speaks in private with Eddie. It appears they slept together, but she states they cannot do that again.
- Karen tells the band that she is dating Graham.
- Daisy stops eating food and continues to do more and more drugs. This soon affects her stage performance. Billy worries about her and asks Rod to have a word, but he refuses. Billy confronts Nicky about drug use, and they fight.
- Daisy collapses on stage and cuts herself. The crowd chants her name. She returns and sings ‘Look at Us Now (Honeycomb)’ by herself. Billy storms off stage.
- Billy decides to kick Daisy out of the band. He goes to her hotel room, but Nicky won’t let him in. Billy barges in to find that Daisy has overdosed and isn’t breathing. Rod phones for help while Billy tries to wake her. Nicky panics and flees.
- Daisy finally wakes and looks up at Billy. She says, ‘it’s you,’ implying that she has chosen Billy over Nicky.

Predictions
- The first episode stated that a gig in Chicago would be the band’s last-ever performance together. This means that after the drug overdose in episode 8, the band must play together for a few more months, leading up to their final-ever performance.
- Nicky will no doubt split up with Daisy and return to Ireland after showing his true colors at the hotel suite.
- Daisy will be distraught with Nicky’s choices but happy to have figured out the truth early on. Nicky was enabling Daisy’s drug habit anyway; they are better apart. Hopefully, the band and Rod can help Daisy detox after this scare.
- The band will continue the tour and start to make progress again. However, Billy and Daisy’s romance will spark again, leading to that final gig. Something monumental will cause the band to break up. All of this chaos will be witnessed during that final show.
