“Family Album” marks the penultimate episode of Liaison, the espionage thriller from Apple TV+.
In this installment, Alison (Eva Green) and Gabriel (Vincent Cassel) relive their traumatic pasts as they reunite with old colleagues and watch that mysterious VHS tape. The French Government investigates Didier (Stanislas Merhar) and Antropa while Richard (Peter Mullan) looks for a way out of the Brits’ Antropa deal. It’s another tedious episode with a complex, confusing plot that drains all of the enjoyment from the show. Here’s what happened in Liaison Season 1 Episode 5:
- Gabriel and Alison escape from Jack’s house after the raid. They drive Jack to the nearest hospital.
- Dumas films Sabine and Didier’s argument. Didier wants Sabine’s EU passwords, but she refuses to give them up. Didier threatens her with jail time.
- Dumas takes the footage to Sophie. She can’t show it to the President though.
- Alison and Gabriel meet with their old freedom fighter colleagues looking after Samir and his family. They all hate Alison because of how things ended in 2000, the last time they saw her.
- Sophie pays Dumas a visit after researching Antropa. The business is looking for flaws in all the EU countries’ security systems. Dumas and Sophie both want Didier and Antropa taken down. They also worry there is a mole in the British Government.
- Toby urges Richard to sign the Antropa deal.
- Didier tells Bob that he is a board member at Antropa and has been talking with the boss, Francis Miller. Didier is to accompany Bob to London tomorrow for their top-secret meeting.
- Samir shows Alison and Gabriel the photos and documents on the USB drive. He explains how he hacked the servers with Walid and took the findings to Mark Bolton, but the Brit bailed on their meeting. Alison says that Mark was killed by Antropa. This scares Samir, who doesn’t want to go to London anymore.
- Dumas and Sophie meet with Alison and Gabriel. They want Samir arrested. Alison needs to take Samir to London, though. Alison and Sophie negotiate. Sophie wants the USB drive and for Alison to stalk Didier while he is in London. They agree to these terms of the deal.
- Richard phones Alison, urging her to bring Samir to London. Richard is then handed a letter that proves Mark was colluding with Antropa.
- On the boat, Gabriel watches the videotape. It shows Alison killing Nathalie. Nathalie’s brother and the other colleagues want Alison dead; they try to burn her alive in retaliation. Gabriel saves her life, though.
- Gabriel tells them all that he was a spy; he causes friction in the group. He never went to prison for the crime.
- Gabriel, Alison, Samir, and his family arrive at the English coast in a dinghy.
Liaison Season 1 Episode 6 Release Date and Time
Episode 6 will be released on Apple TV+ on Friday, March 31st, 2023. The release time is midnight PT. Episode 6 is titled “Bonfire” and will have a run time of 55 minutes.

Predictions
- Didier and Bob are meeting Francis Miller in London. Gabriel and Alison will spy on this meeting, overhearing Antropa’s plans. They may even hear of the next terrorist attack on London, which they can now help to stop.
- Gabriel and Alison will decide to take the law into their own hands and take on Antropa single-handedly.
- Samir will meet with Richard and help to convince the Prime Minister to cancel the Antropa deal. He will hand over the USB drive containing information about future attacks.
- Having saved Alison’s life, Gabriel will burn the videotape. After this and having saved Europe, they will run away together, leaving their current lives behind.
