The Showtime mega-hit Yellowjackets is back for another outing of survivalist drama, cannibalism, occult horror, and murder, as we continue the story of a high-school girls’ soccer team being stranded in the Canadian wilderness. Twenty-five years later, the surviving girls try to get on with their lives while being extorted over what really happened out there in the woods — and trust us, it was nothing good.

Here’s what happened in Yellowjackets Season 2 Episode 1:
- Lottie, who is a cult leader in the present day, has Natalie kidnapped and tells her she has a message for her from Travis. In the past we see how Lottie’s talents began to manifest.
- Shauna realized that Adam’s art studio may contain evidence connecting her to him, and she was right. She and Jeff went to dispose of the evidence, had sex in the studio, and then had a barbecue with the remainder of Adam’s personal effects.
- Callie discovered an unburned photo ID of Adam in the BBQ ashes.
- Simone threatened to leave Taissa and stop her from seeing Sammy if she didn’t withdraw from politics and seek immediate help for whatever mental issues had compelled her to create a ritual shrine in the basement.
- In the past, we saw Shauna chow down on the recently-defrosted ear of her friend Jackie, finally making good on the show’s promise of cannibalism.
