It’s back! And while the wait hasn’t quite seemed so long since The Book of Boba Fett essentially morphed into The Mandalorian Season 2.5 without warning, it’s still nice to see Mando and Grogu back on our screens. With a redemption arc, reams of fan service to play with, and more appetite than ever for small-screen Star Wars after recent successes, the latest season of The Mandalorian has all the potential of a being another mega-hit for the House of Mouse.
Here’s what happened in The Mandalorian Season 3, Episode 6:
- Mando and Bo-Katan went to Plazir-15 to meet with Axe Woves and the rest of Bo-Katan’s former fleet.
- They discovered Plazir-15 was a functioning democracy led by The Dutchess and former Imperial Captain Bombardier, with all of its labour outsourced to reprogrammed battle droids.
- Mando and Bo-Katan helped to investigate why some of the droids were malfunctioning, discovering they had been reprogrammed with nano-droids by Head of Security Commissioner Helgait, a Separatist.
- In exchange for their efforts Mando and Bo-Katan were given the key to Plazir, Grogu was made a knight, Bombardier offered to petition the New Republic for Mandalore to be recognized as independent, and they were granted an audience with the Mandalorian privateers.
- Bo-Katan defeated Axe Woves in single combat. Mando also explained that she had saved him on Mandalore, giving her the right to wield the Darksaber.

Predictions
While there is (predictably) no official synopsis, we can nonetheless make some logical assumptions about where things may go in the future:
- After the Moff Gideon tease last week, we should expect more on that soon. One imagines it’ll tie into the Elia Kane business.
- Now that Bo-Katan has reunited a good chunk of the Mandalorians, we’ll be heading to Mandalore pretty quickly.
- I was expecting some kind of Bo-Katan heel turn but it seems like the script has made the whole matter of Darksaber ownership much smoother than I expected. So that seems like a no-go.
- Are we still expecting a Thrawn tease? Sure, why not.
