Back for its fourth and probably final season, HBO‘s gargantuan mega-hit Succession remains in exquisite form. The hysterical but terrifying drama, about a deeply dysfunctional media family and their attempts to ruin one another, is as much a skewering of old money as it is of new media, and the show has remained a critical darling and a fan favorite since its debut in 2018.

- Logan Roy died. That’s the big news, isn’t it?
- Logan dropped dead on his private plane on the way to meet with Lukas Matsson to ensure the GoJo deal went through. After sending Roman to fire Gerri, he keeled over in the plane’s bathroom and that was that.
- Tom called Kendall, Roman, and Shiv to inform them about their father, resulting in one of the finest-acted sequences in television history — a 30-minute one-take of the kids reeling from the news.
- Connor and Willa got married in the midst of all this chaos.
- The siblings stood united with promises to the press that they’d be very present in the transition to a post-Logan era of Waystar.

- One assumes that the plummeting of Waystar’s stock price will have calamitous effects on the GoJo sale and will, therefore, prevent the siblings from being able to pay their debts to Nan.
- Gerri will probably be out for revenge after her dismissal and judging by how she treated Roman even in the midst of his grief, she won’t be pulling any punches.
