Senku (Yusuke Kobayashi) and his friends accomplished. From waking a chef to crafting mirrors and cameras, they’ve come a long way from the primitive civilization they first woke up in.
Each week, they get closer to their goal of finding oil so they can eventually set sail across the country. Luckily things have been going relatively smoothly so far, with no significant obstacles.
Considering it’s only the beginning of the season, however, it’s unlikely things will remain this calm for long.
- Ryusui refuses to give up on his desire to awaken a chef, despite the fact they are out of revival fluid.
- Ryusui thinks he may know someone who still has some revival fluid and uses the cell phone to call Minami.
- Gen convinces her that Senku will give her a gift in exchange for some of her revival fluid.
- Ryusui suggests they use the revival fluid to wake up his old butler and cook, Francois.
- Francois successfully bakes bread.
- Minami complains that she still hasn’t received what she was promised: a camera.
- To make a camera, Senku first has to make a mirror which can later be used as film.
- Senku says he needs the help of Kaseki, but he cannot travel on foot due to his age.
- Kaseki and Minami drive to Senku using a newly improved Steam Gorilla II that he managed to get back into working order.
- Senku ends up making multiple cameras to take into the hot air balloon for taking pictures and surveying the land.
- Minami still wants to take the first picture in their new world and takes one of Senku.
- Senku and Ryusui take off in the hot air balloon to survey the land.
Dr. Stone Season 3 Episode 3 Release Date and Time
Episode 3 will be released on Crunchyroll on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. ET. Episode 3 is titled “First Contact” and will have a run time of approximately 23 minutes.

Predictions
Although I was wrong about Senku having more revival fluid, I was right in assuming they would still find a way to acquire some. Thankfully Ryusui was correct in assuming Minami had stashed some away for herself while working with Tsukasa. Now that the group has a skilled chef on the team, their ability to produce food just became that much easier.
- With so much more technology, I imagine Senku and Ryusui are getting closer to finding oil. I think it could even happen as early as the next episode.
- Considering how little Ryusui knew about Francois outside of being a butler, I could see us getting more of their real backstory next week. If they’re going to be the cook, I expect they will be making more than just bread to prove their skills.
