Chise’s (Atsumi Tanezaki) first day of college was filled with more than a few surprises as she attempted to navigate this new environment. Although she isn’t studying to be a sorcerer, it’s clear she still has plenty to learn about the world in general, and this feels like the guidance and structure she needs.
While Elias’ (Ryota Takeuchi) first-day teaching had a few hiccups, his students still seemed interested in learning from him even after seeing his true form.
Knowing Chise and Elias, this is surely only the beginning of a series of problems, but hopefully, nothing as bad as whatever is happening in the college basement.
- Elias walks the college halls in one of his human forms, choosing the female form with long white hair and red eyes.
- The girl Chise caught in the courtyard wakes up and reveals she passes out when she gets nervous.

- When a fire salamander refuses to help a student named May, he grows upset.
- May insults the lizard, causing it to grow angry and attack him.
- Elias saves May while revealing his true form.
- Elias suggests that all his students who do not have an aptitude for magic just quit now to protect themselves.
- As they leave, the students wonder if Elias is a Muryan like Alexandra, meaning someone who is transfigured after too much experimentation.
- Chise runs into another student who introduces himself as Rian Scrimgeour and asks if she’ll teach him magic.
- The episode ends with two suspicious people entering a top-secret room in the college basement.

Predictions
Although Chise didn’t seem to struggle making friends this week, she wasn’t exactly the most popular student either. If anything, she mainly stayed under the radar. However, as the season progresses and students learn what she is, I can only imagine laying low will grow harder for her.
- We didn’t get to see her answer, but since Chise seems to have a hard time saying no, I have a feeling she will agree to tutor Rian.
- In the preview, it looks like Chise meets with several of her old friends like Stella, so I could see her taking a break from the college, especially if her curses appear to be causing problems.
