There’s more revolution on the way in “Scarlet Minnow,” as females across the globe transfer their powers to one another, leading to further uprisings. The fifth installment focuses on Margot’s (Toni Collette) woes in Seattle as she continues to grow in popularity and infamy, while in Moldova, Tatiana (Zrinka Cvitesic) witnesses more civil unrest.
It’s another eventful and tense chapter ending with an inspiring finale. Here’s what happened in The Power Season 1 Episode 5:
- Electric Organ Discharge (EOD) is banned in Moldova. If used, the culprit is given the death penalty.
- Tatiana watches as her husband, President Viktor Moskalev, works with scientists to have the skein organ removed. At present, the removal only ends in death, though.
- Margot is interviewed about her sudden rise to fame. Tunde asks her about her powers, but Margot refuses to comment. Instead, she talks about Daniel Dandon’s new legislation, which could force women to register their EOD as a weapon.
- Margot’s advisor worries that Margot is becoming a target. A powerful misogynist called Urbandox is targeting Margot next. Even her son Matt is being influenced by Urbandox.
- Rob is asked to help create a drug that could suppress EOD in females. He refuses to help out but secretly sends the documents to his journalist friend Declan.
- Declan posts the findings online, causing a stir. He refers to Rob as Scarlet Minnow, his anonymous source.
- Margot and Rob argue about the leaked documents. Rob states that Margot is distancing herself from reality and ignoring her family.
- Flashbacks reveal how Tatiana ended up marrying Viktor. She was forced by her parents at a young age, having to give up her sports dreams in the process.
- Tatiana’s sister Zoia is trapped in a sex trafficking ring. She takes on the EOD powers and leads a revolt, with the females escaping their captors.
- Margot tries to bond with Jos, and they both smoke weed together. She asks for Jos to transfer the powers to her. Jos gives Margot the EOD powers.
- Tatiana also asks for the powers, with her stylist transferring the EOD over to her too.
The Power Season 1 Episode 6 Release Date and Time
Episode 6 will be released on Prime Video on Friday, April 21st, 2023, at 12 am ET. Episode 6 is titled “Sparklefingers” and will have a run time of 51 minutes.

- Margot now has the EOD powers; she will slowly start to hone her abilities and feel empowered by them. This may give her new confidence, and she will decide to take on Daniel Dandon, running for the Senate.
- Rob will continue to work under his new alias, the Scarlet Minnow, leaking further information to the press. He may take on the drugs research job to bring them down from the inside.
- Tatiana also has the power now; she will start her own revolution in Moldova. She may begin by assassinating the President.
- Hopefully, this installment will return to Roxy’s storyline too. She will be forced to run away after causing a gang war in London. Roxy will abandon her family and her old life, seeking out a new one on the run. She may also start her own revolution, uniting the Brits.
