In the latest installment of The Power, titled “Sparklefingers,” Mayor Margot Cleary-Lopez (Toni Collette) decides to run for senate while trying to rebuild broken bonds with her family at home.
There are a few other subplots, including Tunde’s (Toheeb Jimoh) eventful day at a wedding in Nigeria and Roxy’s (Ria Zmitrowicz) own escapades in London.
This chapter manages to humanize Margot further and provides much tension with the introduction of Urbandox and his many foot soldiers. Here’s what happened in The Power Season 1 Episode 6:
- Urbandox rallies the troops online, persuading males across the globe to stand up against this feminist uprising.
- Margot feels empowered by her new abilities. She tells her advisor Helen about this new power. But Helen urges her to keep it a secret. Margot is inundated with hate mail and death threats.
- Daniel Dandon orders all government employees to declare their EOD powers and to take a test. Margot learns of a trick to pass the test and manages to fool Daniel. In retaliation, she decides to run for Senate.
- Tunde attends a wedding where the groom is having cold feet after finding out his bride has EOD. Tunde convinces him to get married. He is suffering from PTSD-like symptoms after witnessing the fights in Saudi Arabia.
- Roxy grieves the death of her step-brother Terry.
- Rob meets with Declan about the article. Declan promises to keep his source a secret. They then witness a drunk man with a taser threatening a barmaid.
- Tunde meets with Ndudi at the wedding, and they sleep together. She reveals that she has EOD.
- Jos tries to sleep with Ryan, but he is apprehensive. He reveals that he is intersex and has EOD as well.
- Roxy argues with Barbara and Bernie, who are both in a state of shock. Bernie orders Roxy to use her powers to scare a client, but she refuses.
- Margot tries to organize a family meal, but Matt is argumentative, influenced by Urbandox. Margot and Jos smoke weed afterward. Jos agrees to keep Margot’s powers a secret.
- During Margot’s press conference, where she announces she is running for senate, an Urbandox follower sets themselves on fire.
The Power Season 1 Episode 7 Release Date and Time
Episode 7 will be released on Prime Video on Friday, April 21st, 2023, at 12 am ET. Episode 7 is titled “Baptism” and will have a run time of 50 minutes.

Predictions
- Urbandox followers are starting to fight back against this new female uprising. This will lead to further war and anarchy in society. Margot will try to use the incident to prove the dangers of Urbandox and the importance of equality.
- The Urbandox followers are zoning in on Margot now; they will target her husband and children next. Rob’s secret will be revealed, and Jos will be sent her own death threats. The family may have to relocate.
- Matt’s behavior will continue to become more erratic, leading to further tension in the family. He may even help the other Urbandox followers to target his own family, or he could work as a mole, taking them down from the inside.
- Roxy is quickly becoming an outcast in her own family; she will flee or start working for her father, utilizing her powers for their criminal enterprises.
