This highly entertaining episode of Rabbit Hole has twists at every turn and then some! “The Playbook” begins with a young Ben breaking down leaders and reprogramming them to control their actions in third-world countries.
Is he running some CIA MK-Ultra program? His colleague then questions why they work for the government if they can sell their skill set to the highest bidder.
This scene begs the question — could this man be Crowley (Mark Winnick)? Please, fasten your seatbelts.
Here is what happened in Rabbit Hole Season 1, Episode 6:
- John and his team confront Senator Evers about learning the identity of Crowley, who is extorting her with the information he keeps under lock and key at an ultra-secret depository for shady rich white-collar types. If John can retrieve the data, she will cooperate.
- John borrows $20 million from Hailey to appear legitimate for the operation.
- Hailey discovers John messaging “Eye-See-You4728” through a game of Magic Squares on his phone and asks Ben about it. Ben reveals that John is trying to message Valence, who died in the pilot. Ben tells Hailey that John is suffering from mental health issues and stress.
- We learn that “The Intern” is actually named Kyle.
- With the help of Hailey and Evers’ head of security, John retrieves the briefcase from box 844, but Evers has her detail steal it back. Little do they know John has put Evers’s briefcase in his safe deposit box, forcing Evers to cooperate with John.
- The infamous intern Kyle was programming his girlfriend Eliza to assassinate Senator Evers. Crowley’s assassin kills Evers’ head of security so Eliza can escape. Kyle kills Eliza and makes it look like suicide.
- A flashback indicates that Crowley was Ben’s colleague from decades ago.
- The man we believe is Crowley walks into a company called Arda Analytics: An Intaverse Media Company.
- “Eye-See-You4728” messages John, saying, “I’m sorry, John. I had to make it look real. Are you there?”

Predictions
- Two big questions are entering the final two episodes of Rabbit Hole. One of them: is Valence alive? Something tells me that this is a way for Ben to regain John’s trust, which would be a cruel trick.
- Is the man who walked into the Arda Analytics Crowley? Everything indicates this must be him and will be confirmed in the next episode.
- Have you asked if Ben may be Crowley? Nothing can be trusted in Rabbit Hole, so why not?
- There’s just something off about Hailey wanting to be so involved in John’s world. I predict it will be revealed she is a Crowley mole.
- Could Crowley program Edward? He is acting so strange and detached lately the idea cannot be dismissed.
- Yes, we will concede that Kyle may not know The Intern’s name after killing Eliza.
