Who is Sophina DeJesus?
Sophina DeJesus was born in San Jose, California, on October 6th, 1994. Her parents were Geraldo and Maria DeJesus, with her mother being African-American and her father coming from Puerto Rican heritage.
Before becoming a gymnast, Sophina joined a hip-hop group called Mix 5. She would participate in the 2005 and 2006 World Hip Hop International competitions through this endeavor.
