The latest installment of City on Fire, “Land of a Thousand Dances,” follows the many adjacent storylines from the series. Keith (Ashley Zukerma) becomes a new suspect in the case.
Charlie (Wyatt Oleff) hides from the police. William (Nico Tortorella) finds connections with the police, and Amory’s (John Cameron Mitchell) involvement in the whole saga comes to light.
The narrative has a lot of exciting developments, yet the cast is far too unlikeable and pretentious to invest in. Here’s what happened in City on Fire Season 1, Episode 4:
- Charlie spots his wanted poster and runs from the police. William is also chased due to solicitation. He is eventually arrested while Charlie escapes.
- After this closer encounter, Charlie shaves his hair. He decides to investigate Samantha’s life some more. Charlie finds a hidden camera reel in her room.
- William asks for Detective Parsa, who questions him at the station. He denies the charges and asks to help Parsa with the Samantha case instead. William notices the connections. He was in Samantha’s favorite band; she was shot across the road from William’s father’s building.
- William also mentions seeing Charlie at the gig the night Samantha was shot.
- Keith visits Samantha at the hospital. Regan thinks their son Will wrote them the note about the affair. Keith takes Will to the cinema to help bond with the boy. Keith is mugged and beaten by Sol.
- Parsa finds clues in Samantha’s autobiographical comic book. She was dating a preppy guy. Parsa thinks this is Keith, who was also on her mailing list and caught on CCTV outside her dorm.
- William follows Nicky, who meets with Amory in secret. Amory was funding the band and instigating the fires. Amory has gotten cold feet, though. After the latest fire was classified as terrorism, he wants to stop their partnership.
- Nicky threatens to go to the police if Amory stops their payments. He knows that Amory’s delivery guy, Keith, was sleeping with the girl who got shot. Amory denies shooting Samantha.
- The detectives tell Regan that Keith was sleeping with Samantha. Regan asks Keith if he has an alibi. He panics and looks for his gun. Flashbacks reveal that Will knew about the gun. Is he the shooter?
City on Fire Season 1 Episode 5 Release Date and Time
Episode 5 will be released on Apple TV+ on Friday, May 26th, 2023, at Midnight PT. Episode 5 is titled “Brass Tactics” and will have a run time of 47 minutes.

Predictions
- The detectives have arrived to question Keith. He’ll try to deny everything about the case, but he’ll get caught out. Keith will be arrested for his cowardice and interrogated further at the station.
- Nicky has lost his funding from Amory. He will instigate a retaliation, starting a fire at one of Amory’s buildings or businesses. This will land him in prison, though, along with the rest of the gang and Keith.
- Charlie will get Samantha’s photographs developed. There will be further clues or incriminating evidence in these photos, leading to Samantha’s seedy second life.
