The fourth installment of Silo, titled “Truth,” focuses on new sheriff Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson), using flashbacks to explore her childhood and the present timeline to follow her first days on the job. Her first case is investigating the mysterious death of the Mayor, and Marnes (Will Patton) suspects foul play.
It’s a slower episode, which centers on character development over action sequences. But one that still intrigues, with snippets of clues and new mysteries to solve. Here’s what happened in Silo Season 1, Episode 4:
- Flashbacks look at Juliette’s childhood. She lost her brother and mother at a young age. Juliette was left to fend for herself. She honed her skills in fixing things and yearned to become a mechanic.
- Juliette forged a letter and asked to shadow Martha. She was put on the scavenger’s team. Martha informed Juliette’s father, but Juliette refused to leave. She was ordered to shadow Knox instead.
- In the present, Juliette is requested by the higher-ups to investigate Jahns’ death. Marnes thinks she was poisoned and the killer wanted him dead, not the Mayor.
- Bernard becomes the interim Mayor. He swears Juliette in as the new sheriff, even though they don’t see eye to eye.
- Juliette is introduced to her new office and apartment. She asks for George’s file, but no one can find it.
- Marnes starts to interrogate his enemies, looking for the killer. Juliette tries to calm him down when he is caught beating a man in public. Juliette talks about her relationship with Holston. They agree to work together.
- Sims urges Marnes to instate Paul Billings as the new sheriff. He needs Marnes and Bernard’s signatures. Marnes refuses.
- Marnes gets drunk that night and is attacked in his apartment.
- Juliette finds Holston’s secret documents in the apartment vent; these include George’s file.
Silo Season 1 Episode 5 Release Date and Time
Episode 5 will be released on Apple TV+ on Friday, May 26th, 2023, at midnight PT. Episode 5 is titled “The Janitor’s Boy” and will have a run time of 51 minutes.

Predictions
- Juliette wants to know why her lover, George, was brutally murdered. She has followed his clues but doesn’t know more about the case. Holston has slowly started to reveal more information, though. Hopefully, George’s file will include more answers.
- Marnes will be killed by this mysterious intruder. He will be the second casualty in this possible coup.
- Juliette will be pushed out by Bernard and Sims, who want Paul Billings in charge.
- Juliette may have to request her mechanic’s family to come and help her offset this sinister uprising.
