Just when everything was starting to look bleak for Senku (Yusuke Kobayashi) and his friends, there was a glimmer of hope.
With both Suika (Karin Takahashi) and Ginro (Ayumu Murase) unpetrified on the boat, the group stands a real chance of getting the lab and supplies they need to infiltrate the Master’s kingdom on the treasure island.
Of course, it isn’t as simple as just signaling Ginro and Suika. With Ibara (Yutaka Aoyama), the Master’s minister, and Kirisame (Kaede Hondo) on the boat, this mission may be even more challenging than they imagined.
- Five years earlier, Amaryllis and her friends attempted to escape their island by boat, only to be chased by the Master’s right-hand warriors, Moz and Kirisame.
- Using an unknown petrification weapon, Moz and Kirisame turn everyone on the boat by Amaryllis to stone.
- Amaryllis says she survived the petrification beam by pulling out the part of her petrified hair and escaping into the ocean when Moz and Kirisame had mistakingly assumed everyone had been petrified.
- After hearing Amaryllis’ story, Senku deduces that the petrification rule must follow a particular set of rules, including a limited area of effect, activation by being thrown, and the ability to stop the chain reaction by cutting it off.
- Ibara is the minister of the island, and basically, the second in command shows up on the boat with his men.
- Viewers see Ginro survive the petrification beam by being in the ocean when it hits.
- Ibara and his men search the ship until they hear a noise.
- As Ginro hides on the ship, fearing being caught by Ibara and his men, Suika creates a distraction in the Green Room to save him.
Dr. Stone Season 3 Episode 9 Release Date and Time
Episode 9 will be released on Crunchyroll on Thursday, June 1st, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. ET. Episode 9 is titled “Beautiful Science” and will have a run time of approximately 23 minutes.

Predictions
While I seemed right in my assumptions about the Master’s ability to petrify people, treasure island’s resources still have yet to be accounted for. It will be interesting to see if they still exist when everything is said and done.
- With Suika and Ginro on the ship, I have a feeling they will be able to smuggle the lab away with ease. It’s clear Ibara and his men are unfamiliar with tech, so there is a good chance they will let the lab ride off because they are afraid of it or don’t know what it is.
- Once the lab is acquired, I believe it will be easier for Senku to help Kohaku infiltrate the Master’s kingdom. I think she’ll be selected as a bride with ease and join Amaryllis inside next week.
