We discuss predictions for the Crunchyroll anime series The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 Episode 10, including the release date and where to watch online.
Things took an interesting turn in this week’s episode as viewers learned that Lucy’s (Minami Tsuda) attack may not have been as random as it initially seemed. As she lies unconscious in the infirmary, it seems something much more sinister is at play involving her family and one of those most dangerous magic books in existence.
While viewers may not have all the information yet, several more puzzle pieces emerged, making Lucy’s brother an obvious suspect. However, what’s really going on, and whether or not he’s involved, still remains to be seen.
- Seth says someone in his family has collapsed and states he will take time off before leaving in his car.
- Chise and Zoe visit Lucy in the infirmary, where she has been unconscious for the last ten days. Chise is especially worried about Lucy because they have no idea how or why she suddenly lost all of her magic.
- Chise visits Joseph to see if he knows anything about the voice she heard when her arm transformed.
- Although he lies to Chise, Joseph reveals that Chise actually heard the voice of a dragon. He says the dragon has gone mad, having cursed a human.
- Lucy’s older brother, Seth, arrives to visit her in the infirmary.
- The teachers meet to discuss the book stolen from the Forbidden Books Storage. The book, The Testament of Carnamagos, has the ability to put the living in mortal danger by describing how to take in the life force and magic powers of others, how to create and destroy immortals, and how to bring back the dead.
- After the meeting, Elias asks about the Webster tragedy.
- The Webster tragedy describes an incident where the Webster family, known for replicating magic books and binding them with special spider silk, were all murdered eight years prior. They also had all of their special spiders stolen as well.
- The episode ends with two werewolf-like creatures suddenly kidnapping and murdering someone who appears to be Seth’s driver and or guard.
The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 Episode 10 Release Date and Time
Season 2, Episode 10, will be released on Crunchyroll on Thursday, June 8th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. ET. Episode 10 is titled “Conscience does make cowards of us all. II” and will have a run time of approximately 23 minutes.

Predictions
While I was mostly right on my predictions last week, it seems the potential werewolf characters won’t really matter until next week’s episode. Still, with how the story is progressing, it will be interesting to see how they fit into all of this.
- In the preview for next week, it appears that the werewolves will be more prominent. I feel they are after Seth and Lucy and will probably come after them next week.
- Although she is usually a healer, in the preview for next week, it looks like Alexandra might be conducting a test on Simeon. He seemed to be in danger at the end of today’s episode, and I have a feeling she may have had him kidnapped for experiments, as he appears to be a hybrid human/animal as well.
