For the benefit of those not in the know, Warrior is set in San Francisco during the 19th-Century Tong Wars.
Shows like Warrior usually get talked about. Word of mouth earns them a fanbase, and news gets around. But that didn’t seem to happen. After a second season that was better than the first, and set up a third, Cinemax unceremoniously canceled Warrior and that, it seemed, was that.
Now, though, it’s back, and on the newly rebranded Max, no less.
Here’s what happened in Warrior Season 3 Episode 4:
- Ah Toy returns to Chinatown after Nellie’s vineyard was burned down in Episode 3. Nellie tries to take Strickland on in court, but predictably she loses the case.
- Strickland, by the way, continues to nurture Leary, introducing him to some influential people.
- Lee, the Secret Service, and the police led by Atwood raid Chinatown to shut down the counterfeiting operation. Lee has traced it to the Hop Wei, but they have no proof.
- When the police don’t find any evidence of counterfeiting, Atwood brutally beats down Young Jun.
- Ah Sahm and Yan Mi manage to escape with the printing press and hide the plates. However, they’re forced to beat up some cops on the way.
- Ah Sahm and Yan Mi sleep together.
- Mai Ling is arrested for solicitation after her new business partner made an unwanted pass at her.
