In the previous installment, titled “Are We Free?” Swagger explored the prison system and racism in modern-day America with one of the best episodes from the series to date. It was always going to be hard to follow that up with anything nearing the same quality, and episode six struggles with this mammoth undertaking.
“Jace + Crystal” focuses on the titular teens’ romance, which can be a little cheesy and cliched at times. The latest installment struggles to bring anything new to their relationship while inter-cutting with more predictable and minor scenes. Here’s what happened in Swagger Season 2, Episode 6:
- Students and staff members of Cedar Cove meet at the Maryland Unified Athletic Counsel for a public apology. Jace begins the event with a statement, but he refuses to apologize for his actions. The other students concur.
- Ike is proud of his team players for standing up for themselves. He comforts Jenna, saying that Jace will still get recruited eventually.
- Jace takes the day off. Crystal finds out that she has made the McDonald’s All-American lineup. She phones Jace to celebrate. They go roller-skating together.
- Ike’s wife, Tonya Edwards, argues with Emory about Jace’s future.
- Crystal and Jace talk about their relationship and careers. Crystal admits that she is still in love with Jace.
- Jace finds out that Crystal made the McDonald’s All-American roster. They argue. Jace is annoyed that Crystal kept this secret from him, while Crystal hates how selfish Jace is acting. Jace is told that he has been reinstated. He ditches Crystal for practice.
- Before his return game, Jace phones and apologizes to Crystal. Jenna wins an award and a brand-new car.
- The Mustangs win their next game, with Jace helping them to victory with a stellar comeback performance.
- Jace and Crystal hook up at Jace’s place that night. They both say that they love one another.
Swagger Season 2 Episode 7 Release Date and Time
Episode 7 will be released on Apple TV+ on Friday, August 4th, 2023, at midnight PT. Episode 7 is titled “Homecoming” and will have a run time of 52 minutes.

Predictions
- Jace and his fellow teammates have overcome their tribulations and are back on top. The Warrick allegations have been dropped, the players have been reinstated, and all is well. The only problem seems to be Jace’s lack of recruitment opportunities since the scandal. Hopefully, his comeback performances will start to interest the colleges once again.
- Jace and Crystal will start to date again, making their relationship public.
- Emory will continue to sabotage Jace’s chances of recruitment in secret.
