It has been a longer wait than expected, but South Korea’s answer to Game of Thrones is back on the streaming waves after a pretty successful run on Netflix and then a four-year — count ’em! — hiatus.
Set about a decade after the events of the first season, Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun brings a spiffy new subtitle and a continuation of the story, laid out here courtesy of the good folks at MyDramaList:
It depicts the story of what happens in Arth approximately a decade later. Over the course of more than eight years, Arthdal succeeded in suppressing the massive rebellion of the tribes slaughtered by Ta Gon in Season 1, and the Agos finally achieved the reunification of 30 clans after 200 years under the leadership of Eun Seom.
In Season 2, Ta Gon’s Kingdom of Arthdal and Eun Seom’s Ago Union are set to face an inevitable great war. Eun Seom is the ruler of the East now. Tan Ya is the successor to the Wahan clan. The story set eight years after Ta Gon has become king.
Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Episodes 5 & 6 Release Date/Time
Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Episode 5 will be released on Disney+ on September 23, 2023. The usual release time is 3:00 pm (BST), but sometimes this varies. We do not anticipate any changes to the schedule yet (sometimes this happens in the K-Drama world.). Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Episode 6 will air at the same time the next day, September 24. Each episode has an approximate runtime of around 75 minutes.

In its native Korea, Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 is a TVING original. Internationally, as mentioned above, it will stream exclusively on Disney+ in selected territories.
