When Dani arrives at Bly Manor, she’s met by the children and the staff. One of the staff members barely even acknowledges Dani which irks her from the moment she arrives — so who is Jamie in The Haunting of Bly Manor?
What does she do at Bly Manor?
She’s the gardener. The manor has an au pair, a chef, a housekeeper and a gardener all for two children because it serves no use to the uncle who never visits. Jamie is a passionate gardener as well, it’s one of her favourite hobbies.
What is Jamie like?
Despite not introducing herself to Dani, Jamie is actually a lovely woman. In fact, she’s one of the characters that ensures that Dani is okay when she is struggling to adjust to life at Bly Manor. She has a heavy dislike for Peter Quint and she does not engage with the children that much — on a few occasions she threatens them for their pranks or messing up her gardening efforts.
She’s a very casually spoken character Jamie and she feels like an outsider, just like Dani.

Is she romantically involved with anyone (major spoiler)
Yes, but it is definitely a slow burn. After a bit of back and forth, it’s evident that Jamie and Dani like each other, a lot. Dani tries to hold Jamie’s hand one evening which takes her by surprise. From here, both characters tentatively meet up and enjoy their first date at a pub. There are many problems early on in their romance though — Jamie can sense that Dani is shackled by her past that involves her ex. Jamie wants Dani all to herself and does not want her ex sharing the space.
Of course, Dani cannot help feel that her ex is invasive considering he haunts her mind.
Do Dani and Jamie last? (major spoiler)
With all the events that happen in The Haunting of Bly Manor, Dani and Jamie still do have a chance of having a long, fruitful, and loving relationship when they leave the manor. However, Dani is cursed by the events of what happened at Bly, and unfortunately and tragically, that is their undoing. Jamie does everything she can to keep their relationship going, but unfortunately, she loses Dani to the curse.
