With Queen Nehalennia persistently shrouding the Earth with darkness, it’s revealed that Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask are the princess and princess. But in shocking circumstances, Queen Nehalennia takes the Silver Crystal from Sailor Moon — she tells them that the curse is eternal and announces that she is invincible and the true ruler of the Universe.
At this point, it looks like the Sailor Guardians have lost all hope.

Usagi-sama and Mamo-chan hold hands and kiss — they declare that this nightmare cannot defeat them, and the longer they kiss, the more their reality returns from the nightmarish world — Usa’s powers also return. Queen Nehalennia is in shock and calls Usagi-sama “Queen Serenity.”
But it’s not over at this point, as Queen Nehalennia still needs to be defeated. Sailor Moon powers the Holy Grail, and the Outer and Inner Sailor Guardians form their powers to help surge the Crystal Power. All their powers, including Tuxedo Mask’s Golden Crystal Power, gather together to defeat Queen Nehalennia; she returns to the mirror that changes to dust. Earth slowly returns to normal — the nightmare is over.
The last ten minutes of part 2 concludes specific stories; the Prince and Princess become King and Queen — Sailor Moons uses her crystal power to free the Amazonian Quartet. It is revealed that they are also Sailor Guardians who were sleeping until their true awakening. Queen Nehalennia woke them up and cursed them. The Quartet declares that they will be returning to sleep until their true awakening.
Helios is back and with his Pegasus — he tells Chibi-usa that he will return.
