Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 1, episode 8 recap – the ending explained
As the episode begins, there’s a sniper attempt made on Vikrant and Purva’s car. There’s an attack on Purva’s family, and she updates Vikrant on the unfolding events; the men who attacked them were killed. She doesn’t want to go to Delhi until they’ve at least met Dolly first. Knowing his plot is faltering, Vikrant drives away to a monastery and meets the assassin that he wants to bring down Purva. He’s worried about the people who will die in the plan. He’s told to show the world that he loves his wife Purva so he comes across as innocent.
Purva finds him eventually, and Vikrant tells her he loves her. He blesses her with romantic gestures and he’s very convincing. Secretly, he googles “how to fake cry over wife’s death,” bringing some comedic undertones. The next day, Vikrant tells Purva that he wants a baby with her and her father Akheraj is pleased. He gives Vikrant some work to do so he will not be at the function Purva is performing at when the attack happens.
Purva learns that Vkrant’s father has stolen money from their warehouse and wants to inform her father about it. Vikrant wants to buy time and tells her he’ll speak to his father about it. At this point, there are 30 minutes to the attack. And then, Purva learns Vikrant has been speaking to someone called Kaalikant regarding a package. It gets worse for Vikrant, who learns Pallavi is also at the performance where the explosion will be.
The ending
The performance begins, and the bomb is placed. Vikrant rings Pallavi and tells her to get out of the theatre. As he’s on the phone with her, he hears the explosion, and he’s shellshocked. Pallavi is surprised, and she rings up Vikrant in absolute shock and despair at what’s happened. Vikrant rings Shikha and tells her not to marry her soon-to-be-husband. He lets her know that Purva died in a bomb explosion.
Akheraj rings Vikrant and asks him to come home as soon as possible. When he arrives at the politician’s mansion, he learns that Purva has been kidnapped in a shocking twist. This isn’t what Vikrant wanted, so he’s in shock, and the kidnapper wants to talk to him. The kidnapper is surprised that Purva is Akheraj’s daughter and he wants a large amount of money for her freedom.
This is not over yet. This was the action-packed finale the series deserved.
