Eternally Confused and Eager for Love season 1, episode 8 recap – the ending explained
Episode 8 opens with Ray snooping for condoms in his parent’s bedroom. Umesh finds them for him, but the condoms are large, so he goes to the chemist for some mediums. He tests one of them out at home. His work friend then tells him to apologize to Riya for being a dick and then invites him to his engagement party.
And so, Ray brings a peace offering to Riya and apologizes. He expects an apology back because she called him an antisocial freak. The friends make up and have lunch together. While lunching they make a truce — if they are not married by 40, they’ll get married together.
At the engagement party, Ray sees Naina and it’s awkward at first. Riya also finds out that the man she likes is not single anymore. To handle the night, Ray and Riya take multiple shots. Ray is feeling loose and heads to the dancefloor with confidence. Everyone is impressed with his moves.
The ending
But the next morning is a nightmare for Ray. He wakes up in his parent’s house, and Komal brings him water. She tells him that “they definitely had sex” and begins to describe it. In his head, the wizard congratulates him for losing his virginity, even if he doesn’t remember.
But Ray doesn’t feel euphoric about sleeping with Komal, and it only worsens. As the episode ends, Ray’s parents stand with Komal grinning at him. There’s an expectation that his one-night stand will mean more.
