Following the death of his father, Theo (Anders Matthesen) heads to Tuscany to arrange the sale of the castle restaurant he owned. However, whilst there, Theo has his eyes opened to the simple pleasures life has to offer, resulting in his original reason for going becoming far from a straightforward business transaction.

As promised, Theo and his Danish team put on a great wedding reception and feast for Sophia and Pino’s big day, which secures the €900,000 top-end offer for the castle that local businessman Lucca promised Theo if he won their little bet. After the sale goes through, Theo heads back to Denmark to pick up where he left off with his own restaurant. However, not long after arriving back home, he realizes that the same passion he had for cooking in Italy does not exist for him here. In fact, Theo struggles to get Tuscany and the castle restaurant out of his head altogether.

He decides to pay his restaurant’s original investor a visit, before heading back to Tuscany. Upon his arrival, Theo doesn’t receive the warmest welcome from Pino, who almost immediately reveals that Sophia left him shortly after the pair were married and that he blames Theo for this. After the dust has had a chance to settle, Theo reveals his reason for returning, which is that he would like to buy the castle back, with the combined efforts of his investor’s funds plus the sale of his Danish restaurant equalling a €1.5million offer which Lucca cannot refuse.

The sale goes through, and Theo opens the restaurant he was always destined to have; one that shows the love and passion that made him a chef in the first place. It’s not long before a familiar face returns in the form of Sophia, who despite moving up in the world considerably since he last saw her, still comes back to lend a hand for old time’s sake.
