This article discusses the ending of the Netflix film Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie and will contain spoilers.

The Nickelodeon series Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been a smash-hit for the company. However, we haven’t gotten new episodes since 2020. So, the company joined forces with Netflix to release a brand new movie following in the footsteps of the series.

The film tests the Turtles as they face doom at the hands of the Krang. He is destined to take them and the rest of the world down once and for all. However, as the end is near, the Turtles transport Casey Jones back in time to get the key to taking down the Krang in the past so he can’t destroy them in the future.

So when Casey Jones arrives back in time, he stumbles across April O’Neil, who takes him to meet with Splinter and the Turtles. Unfortunately, at this moment, we find out that the Krang has taken Raphael. With not much time, Casey convinces Master Splinter and the Turtles that he isn’t lying, and now all systems are a go for Jones and the Turtles to team up to take down the Krang.

Throughout the movie, the Turtles and Jones face plenty of obstacles to be able to save the world. One of the biggest obstacles the team always faces is the inner turmoil between our fierce leader, Raphael, and the gang. However, once he is kidnapped, the team can put the pieces together to get on the straight and narrow.

At one point, Donatello comes to the rescue in saving Raphael, but the downside is that Leonardo is still stuck up in the land battling Krang. So Leonardo pages Casey, and when he does, he tells Casey when he makes it to the other door to close the door, which would leave Leonardo behind, and Casey doesn’t want to lose him. The Turtles looked on from the outside, looking in without knowing what would unfold.

Finally, we see Leo go to battle with the Krang and lose badly, so we think as Leo stabs the Krang in the leg and gets him out of the portal. At this moment, Leo tells Casey to pull the trigger while they are out of it, and he does. We see a massive explosion in the air as the Turtles look on from the outside. They are watching the demise of their brother while watching him save the world at the same time. Michaelangelo was heartbroken and in tears but refused to give up on Leo.

We see Michaelangelo muster up some Jedi-like trick by creating a portal so they could reach in and save Raphael from the portal. Then, as his brothers stood next to him, they could bring him back and stop the Krang from simultaneously making it back. You didn’t really think they would kill off a Ninja Turtle, did you?

As the movie comes to a close, we see Casey Jones say, “so this is grabbing a slice, I don’t get it,” with a slice of pizza in his hands. The team said to wait for it as he took a bite and fell in love with the piece (like we all do). Next, we saw Raphael tell Leonardo he was proud of him, Leo told him that they did what was needed to get done and toasted with their pizza while overlooking the city they love to protect.
