This article discusses the Netflix romance film No Limit, including the premise, release date, and trailer.
Roxana (Camille Rowe) drops out from her studies, and leaves her life in Paris to take a freediving course in the beautiful south of France. Here she falls in love with her teacher and world champion freediver Pascal Gauthier (Sofiane Zermani).
This film is inspired by a true story, about two people discovering the world of the intense sport, free-diving, as well as discovering things about themselves.
From watching the trailer, I think we are in for a steamy, hot, stormy romance, unpredictable, with no limits, all mirrored by their chosen shared sport.
Netflix film No Limit release date
No Limit is set to release on Friday, September 9th, 2022 on Netflix and will have a runtime of 1 hour 40 minutes.
No Limit premise
Netflix: An extraordinarily talented young woman finds deep, destructive love with her record-holding freediving instructor in this visually arresting romantic drama.
IMDb: Roxana Aubrey decides to drop her studies and escape her life in Paris for a free diving course in the south of France. She is quickly pulled into a life that reaches new depths brought by the weight of an ocean’s descent.
Our opinion of the premise
From both of these premises, it sounds like viewers are in for a dramatic love story, and who does romance like no other, the French. The waters are always uncharted territory, with most films with the sea involved having serious situations where the characters’ lives are at stake. Taking the plunge to change her life, I’m sure we’ll see the protagonist go through life-changing events, and finding her true love on the way, but we know it isn’t going to be easy.
The record-holding freediving instructor makes me think this film will also be concerned around sports, not just two people’s love struggles, so I’m excited to see more into the world of freediving. I’m expecting some very good filming and cinematography from this film.
