What is season 1 of Adamas all about?
Adamas has a sensational premise that will entice viewers for weeks. The premise follows twin brothers fighting against crippling evil to reveal the truth behind an unimaginable murder 22 years prior; their biological father was accused of killing their stepfather, and a death penalty date has been set.
Viewers were shocked by twists and turns on a weekly basis, and we were all pleased to see the return of Ji Sung (The Devil Judge).
The series took over tvN’s Wednesday/Thursday spot previously occupied by Eve.

As we write this article, Adamas has not been renewed for a second season. However, it’s not unusual for the industry to wait until they decide on renewal. Most K-Dramas tend to enjoy a single-season story and wrap things up conclusively by the finale. So once we have seen the conclusion, we’ll be able to sense what the writers have in mind. However, that doesn’t mean it will not be renewed. While the K-Drama industry tends to enjoy single-season stories, the trend of second and third seasons has increased in the last 12 months.
What about ratings? Will that influence whether there will be a renewal?
Adamas has done well in the K-Drama market. Just recently, on September 8th, 2022, the Korean drama returned to the number 1 spot in ratings, and with the finale only a week away at this point, that is promising. Adamas scored an average nationwide rating of 3.139 percent that week.
Ratings will always be the determining factor if a K-Drama series will be renewed, but as they are rare, we will not be surprised if the series ends on season 1. We’ll keep a look out for news!
