Here’s everything we know about the return of the Prime Video Goodnight Mommy.

Prime Video film Goodnight Mommy (2022) release date

Goodnight Mommy is set to release on Friday, September 16th, 2022, on Prime Video and will have a runtime of 1 hour 31 minutes.

Goodnight Mommy (2022) premise

Two brothers arrive at their mother’s house and begin to suspect that something isn’t right. The movie is a remake of the 2014 Austrian film.

Our thoughts on the Premise:

I didn’t see the Austrian version of this film, so that it will be a fresh take for me. However, I am not confident that the premise alone has me intrigued enough to want to watch the film. But Naomi Watts, on the other hand being our lead, certainly has my attention because she is an incredible actress. Another thing that caught my eye while researching was Alex Weston is composing the film. His outstanding work in The Farewell and The Novice could add what could be an intriguing layer to Goodnight Mommy.

The production team

Goodnight Mommy (2022) main cast

Here is the confirmed cast:

  • Naomi Watts – Mother
  • Peter Hermann – Father
  • Cameron Crovetti – Elias
  • Nicholas Crovetti – Lucas

  • Crystal Lucas-Perry – Sandy

Is there a trailer?

Yes, there is a trailer:

As I mentioned in the premise, you can feel Alex Weston’s score jump off the trailer’s screen, enticing you right into this story. You have a few other things that made me want to watch this movie. Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti, who play Elias and Lucas, respectively, have a solid acting presence that makes you realize this isn’t another lackluster-acted horror film. Toss in Naomi Watts and some creepy effects through the trailer, and honestly, I am sold.
