This article discusses 10 series like the reality series The D’Amelio Show you must watch.

Have you heard of TikTok stars? Well, if you haven’t been on that platform, chances are that you have no idea that these “influencers” have gotten so big that they may even get their series or star in their movie. From relative obscurity to overnight successes, the D’Amelios face new challenges and opportunities they could not have imagined as they are thrust into the Hollywood limelight.

When it comes to reality shows, there have to be strong personalities that bring in the viewers because they create drama. For some people, The D’Amelio Show doesn’t bring that punch to make them return for the rest of the episodes. The storyline, even if it’s about the day-in-the-life of the family, needs to have likable people for it to succeed. Sure, sometimes things can be scripted for dramatic proposes, but that doesn’t even matter if the reactions or even their lifestyle are worth watching. The series on this list put The D’Amelio Show to shame as each series does the drama and the high-end lifestyle much better than they do. The shows listed below have a nice mixture of spin-offs from the original series that did extremely well and others that are underrated.

10 series like The D’Amelio Show you must watch

The Kardashians (2022)

Even though the family ended their run on E!, there is still drama that follows the Kardashian clan wherever they go, aptly named The Kardashians. So when they signed with Hulu, this series felt a bit more personal and run by the family. Follow the Kardashian family as they celebrate new ventures and navigate through their new normal: motherhood, relationships, and career goals. Life of Kylie (2017)

This is a spin-off of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and it was at the height of the Kylie Jenner glow-up. Life of Kylie follows the life of fashion and make-up entrepreneur and reality television personality Kylie Jenner as she deals with running a business while maintaining a normal life and her close friendship with then-best friend Jordyn Woods (we all know how that went down). On social media and in the show, their close friendship with Jordyn Woods was shown, and she also made a name for herself.

Dance Moms (2011)

If you need a series that will give you secondhand anxiety being a former dancer, then Dance Moms is the one to watch. Set in Pittsburgh’s renowned Abby Lee Dance Company, owned and operated by notoriously demanding and passionate instructor Abby Lee Miller, the series follows children’s early steps on the road to stardom, and their doting mothers who are there for every rehearsal, performance and bow…all under the discerning eye of Abby Lee Miller. It is one of the most straining series to watch but it’s hard not to. The mothers on this show are fiercely protecting their children from Abby Lee Miller.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians (2007)

The original series felt a bit cheesy because it was on E! and many things felt staged. It follows the trials and tribulations of an American family that is famous for being famous. It includes Kim and her sisters Khloe and Kourtney, her brother Rob, step-sisters Kendall and Kyle, and her mother Kris and step-father Bruce. It’s interesting to see why they ended the series on E! only to come back again on Hulu. What brought them back? The drama? The money? Maybe, it was just an excuse to keep the family together.

High School Musical: The Musical The Series (2019)

Even though this is a fictionalized reality show, the characters are still so strong and bring so much to the table. Set at a fictionalized version of East High School, the school at which the original movie was filmed, the series follows a group of teenage theatre enthusiasts who participate in a staging of High School Musical: The Musical as their school production. As everyone knows, theatre kids are eccentric and super dramatic, but they all come together as a family. Tensions are always high when relationships are involved in the production of a show, and this series does a great job of bringing viewers back, time and time again.

The World According to Paris (2011)

You wouldn’t think Paris Hilton would get into trouble, but she always does. The World According to Paris follows the daily life of Paris Hilton. It was filmed from November 2010, with Hilton’s court-ordered community service stemming from her arrest in Las Vegas, Nevada for cocaine possession, to February 2011, with her birthday party. No one does the high life (pun intended) like Paris Hilton and she carries the show. It feels like the aftermath of The Simple Life.

Snooki and JWoww (2012)

After the success of Jersey Shore, Snooki and JWoww managed to spark up a beautiful friendship. This MTV reality series follows former Jersey Shore cast members Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jenni “Jwoww” Farley as they move in together and enjoy a bachelorette lifestyle. They were the “IT” girls for the longest time and still went back to do a couple of seasons of Jersey Shore while filming this as well.

Very Cavallari (2018)

After a short time on Laguna Beach and a lengthy, dramatic time on The Hills, Kristin Cavallari finally got her spin-off with Very Cavallari. The series follows Kristin and her life in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband Jay Cutler, as she launches the flagship store for her jewelry line, Uncommon James. It only lasted three seasons, but she became such a fan favorite from The Hills that people just loved her.

#RichKids of Beverly Hills (2014)

It’s a known fact that people love anything that is set in Beverly Hills, more importantly, a reality show about rich kids. #RichKids of Beverly Hills premiered on E!, on January 19, 2014. The series focuses on the lives of a group of twenty-something millionaires and billionaires (by inheritance) showcasing their lives. These kids were never considered “influencers” or even got the show because of their social media platforms. The beauty of this is that they just found them and brought them together to make the show.

Siesta Key (2017)

Siesta Key brought drama because love and heartbreak always get in the way of a fun time. Follows a group of young adults confronting issues of love, heartbreak, betrayal, and looming adulthood as they spend the summer together. Nothing is off limits while they come of age, figuring out who they are and who they want to become. It has everything that would bring in viewers because they can connect with the personalities on the show.
