The final episode left viewers wondering if they will ever grab the gold fortune after all. John B, Sarah, Pope, JJ, and Kiara managed to find a huge golden cross thanks to the clues from Pope’s ancestor, a survivor of the Royal Merchant shipwreck. However, Sarah’s dad, Ward Cameron, and brother Rafe had plans to steal the Cross of Santo Domingo for themselves.
The two groups battled it out, and Pope released the cross into the ocean so that no one could have it and the conflict would be over. However, as the Pogues escaped on a small boat, they watched Ward and Rafe pull the cross from the water. As the Pogues landed on a remote island, they decided to stay there for a while. The season ends with a cameo from John B’s dad, who is alive after all and wants to help his son.
When is Outer Banks Season 3 coming out?
Season 3 drops on February 23. This is a highly anticipated season, as it has been over a year and a half since season 2 was released on July 30, 2021. The new season will have ten episodes, each an hour long.

Outer Banks Season 3 Trailer
The trailer for season 3 was released on February 2. It previews the Pogues’ next intense journey as they return home to their parents and continue to fight off the Kooks for the treasure. Narrator John B asks if the treasure they were pursuing was an escape from their financial troubles or a trap. One scene shows Kiara meeting with a possible villain, who claims that she and her friends have the key to “the ultimate conquest, El Dorado.”

The trailer sees John B reuniting with his father and Rafe expressing his intentions to take down the Pogues and go to El Dorado. We could also witness a love triangle between John B, Sarah, and her ex Topper this season. Fans have even been speculating that Kiara could end up with JJ after deciding to just be friends with Pope.
With new treasures to chase and new love interests on the horizon, this should be Outer Banks’ most exciting season.
