We discuss 10 Anime shows like Black Clover you must watch. Add these well-recommended Anime series to your watch list.

Originally written and illustrated by Yuki Tabata, Black Clover has appeared in print since 2015. In a twist to the usual format, Asta is a young Boy with no magical powers, making him an outsider, as the norm in his world is to have some power. This leads him to strive to become the next Wizard King.

The long-running anime has been hugely popular since it started in 2017. With the series so popular, we wondered what else is like it out there, and that’s why we are happy to bring you 10 shows like Black Clover that you must watch.

10 Anime Shows like Black Clover you must watch

Soul Eater (2007)

In Soul Eater, we have a magical land and a school for students called Death Weapon Meister Academy. The school aims to create “Death Scythes,” human-born hybrids that can be turned into weapons after completing a series of kills. Teams of students striving to become Scythes give this a similar vibe to Black Clover. With 51 episodes, this is a great binge-watch.

Naruto (2002)

This is an iconic run, no pun intended, that charts the life of Naruto, cursed with a demonic presence that makes him a lot to handle. He dreams of becoming the head of his village, and this aspect of Naruto reminds us of Black Clover. With 26 seasons and an incredible 720 episodes, it’s easy to see why Naruto is so well-loved.

Bleach (2004)

With 16 seasons, 366 episodes, 4 anime movies, and a live-action feature, Bleach is a formidable and well-loved series.

The story of teenager Ichigo Kurosaki, whose family is attacked by an evil spirit called a Hollow and is forced to become a magical warrior, captured the imagination of millions of fans, leading to its incredible success.

Hunter x Hunter (2011)

With a main protagonist similar to Asta, both characters are raised as orphans. Hunter x Hunter follows the quest of Gon Freecss, a 12-year-old boy searching for his father, who was a former hunter. A hunter leads a dangerous, often fatal, life, and Gon knows he may have to become a hunter to find his father. This series was a reboot of a previous run and is well worth a look.

My Hero Academia (2016)

The incredibly popular My Hero Academia takes place in a world where 80 percent of people are born with amazing superhero-like powers; however, that means that there are also a lot of powerless people too.

Izuku Midoriya has no powers but wishes he does. He gets a chance when he meets one of his heroes, All Might, who can share his power, and needs a successor. I do not doubt that many of you will have watched this already, but if not, give it a go.

Fairy Tail (2009)

There are nine seasons and 328 episodes of this fascinating story that follows Lucy Heartfilia, a young girl living in the magical kingdom of Fiore. She wishes to join the renowned Fairy Tail, one of the numerous wizard guilds scattered around the continent.

Her wish comes true when she meets Natsu Dragneel, the “Salamander” of Fairy Tail, who invites her to the guild.

This is very similar to Black Clover, with plenty of magic, fantasy, and danger and a cast of quirky characters involved in a quest.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009)

More magic and fantasy, this time, though with a definite Steampunk influence. The story of two brothers who try to bring their dead mother back from the grave, but with a price, has plenty of fantasy adventure and a quest at the heart of the story.

A Certain Magical Index (2008)

In Academy City, Touma Kamijou is a high school student, but as far as psychic ability goes, he’s pretty bad. However, Touma has a rare talent that allows him to negate the supernatural, making him similar in power to Asta in Black Clover.

He is charged with protecting a strange and powerful young girl from dangerous magicians, making this a thrilling, fantastic show.

The Legend Of The Legendary Heroes (2010)

Like Black Clover, here is a great 24-episode run with a great protagonist and a mysterious, magical premise. Ryner Lute is a young and gifted magician trained by Roland Empire’s Magician Academy, which uses its magicians as soldiers, sent on a quest to find magical relics.

This is a great and relatively short season and easy to watch.

Fire Force (2019)

There are two seasons and 48 episodes of this show with a grisly premise. In this world, spontaneous combustion in humans is commonplace, and upon bursting into flames, people become Infernals.

The Special Fire Force is formed to find a cure for this, and we follow Shinra Kusakabe, who joins the Fire Force to save humans from these creatures’ wrath. Fantastic magical, supernatural adventures ensue, making this a must-watch on our list.
