Summary

The finale of Unstable came to a satisfactory conclusion that opened the door for another season.

We recap the Netflix series Unstable Season 1 Episode 8, which contains spoilers and explains the Ending.

The stakes are high in Unstable as we head into the finale. With Jackson (John Owen Lowe) and Ellis (Rob Lowe) pushing Leslie (Fred Armisen) out of the house, Leslie makes a move to call the board and talk about Jackson kidnapping him. Will all of this cause the twins to take over for Jackson?

Unstable Season 1 Episode 8 Recap

The finale starts with Jackson and Ellis sharing an incredible bonding moment after finally getting Leslie out of the house. However, his excitement about Ellis quickly ends when Anna tells him they have an emergency board meeting and thinks it’s to oust Jackson.

Then, Anna confronts Jackson and tells him she needs his help. Finally, Jackson heads to Jean to talk her out of the board meeting.

Upon arriving at Jean’s house, he quickly sees that Leslie is at her and finds out that he told Jean that Jackson had kidnapped him. Sadly, Jackson realizes Jean is behind all the madness and trying to take over his dad’s company.

Jackson and Malcolm are off to meet with Leslie’s wife, Barbara, to try to go to dinner with him. She agrees to head to dinner, but quickly things go awry.

After they thought they had things planned for Barbara and Leslie, Barbara stayed home instead to seduce Malcolm. When Leslie shows up to the picnic Jackson set up for the duo, he realizes Barbara isn’t coming and says he is doubling down on taking down his dad.

In the lab, Ellis thinks he has figured out how to get the board on his side.

Does Leslie tell the board Jackson kidnapped him?

When Jean brought Leslie in to tell the board about what happened that night, Leslie said he had just stayed with Ellis for a few days. Moments later, we hear Jackson explain to Anna that he convinced him not to tell the board and would let him move back in.

As Jackson gives a passionate speech to the board, we see Ellis lighting a car on fire outside a house. Back in the board room, his speech doesn’t work as one of the board members says that Ellis’s performance has been so erratic that a vote must occur.

While this is happening, Ellis goes back into the lab, where he thinks he has figured out a way to solve the problem with the project.

Unstable Season 1 Episode 8 Ending Explained

As Anna attempts to stop the board with nothing to say, the count is about to happen when Ellis walks in with the project complete. Then, Ellis looked at Jean and said she was out. We got bonding between Jackson and Luna, talking about them missing one another if Jackson left, which led to a kiss.

Ruby walked in on the two, and it wasn’t weird. Funny enough. The episode ends with Anna saying it would be nice to have no drama, and Ellis says from now on, no more drama as we see Ellis walking away from the car on fire.
