We discuss whether there will be a Kill Boksoon 2, a sequel to the Netflix film Kill Boksoon, and will contain spoilers.

Gil Bok-soon is a single mother who is a hired assassin in the South Korean thriller movie Kill Boksoon. With a 100% kill rate, her talents are eagerly sought after.

Bok-soon works for M.K Ent, an agency run by her former mentor, Cha Min-kyo. Although they have a strong relationship, in the hired assassin game, nobody is ever truly on your side.

With her contract up for renewal, Bok-soon is involved in a kill-or-be-killed assignment that will push her, and her loyalties, to the very limit.

You would be right if you are getting a John Wick vibe from this summary.

Kill Boksoon sequel potential release date

With the production of the film starting on January 4th, 2022, and a release date set at March 2023, it seems that the film and post-production took around a year to complete, so if production starts in April 2023, there could be a release date for Kill Boksoon 2 in April 2024.

Kill Boksoon 2 sequel cast – who might be in it?

Keeping the leads from the first film in the sequel would be wise, so we would expect to see Jeon Do-yeon back in the lead role for Kill Boksoon Part 2.

We would also expect to see Kim si-a return as the title character’s young daughter, who has a pivotal plot throughout the movie.

Kill Boksoon 2 sequel plot: what could Kill Boksoon 2 be about?

The end of the first outing leaves the film open for a sequel. The focus may be now on Gil Bok-soon’s daughter as she becomes aware of her mother’s profession.

There is a post-credit sequence in the film that you may have missed, so we urge you to go back and check it out, as it shows that Jae-young might have seen a video taken of her mother’s final climactic battle.

The post-credits scene includes some clever callbacks to earlier in the film. It seems to set up an imminent sequel involving the identity of the father of Bok-soon’s daughter and Jae-young accepting that she may be enjoying becoming an assassin like her mother.
