Tetris is a drama-comedy film on Apple TV+. Released on March 31, it stars Taron Egerton as Henk Rogers, a video game designer who discovered the game Tetris in 1988 and seeks its rights.
Rogers joins forces with Tetris inventor Alexey Pajitnov, played by Nikita Efremov, to distribute the game to the world.
Rogers travels to the Soviet Union to try and acquire Tetris. He does so without telling his family. As the Tetris movie is based on the real Henk Rogers, who was often away from his family due to work obligations, fans wonder if Henk Rogers and his wife are still together.

Henk Rogers’ wife is Akemi Rogers. Originally from Japan, Akemi supported her husband as he traveled across the globe to pursue the rights to Tetris.
Akemi met Henk while studying at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. When she returned to Japan after college, Henk visited her and eventually decided to live with her there. The two married in 1977 and lived in the Japanese countryside.
