My Fault, or Mia Culpa, has raised some eyebrows with its premise and has received much attention from viewers. The idea of a sequel was immediately on the minds of viewers after the movie’s release on Prime Video, and not one but two subsequent parts have been confirmed since.
The story follows Noah, who has had her life interrupted by her mother’s decision to move into the affluent manor house that belongs to her new partner. Noah leaves behind all her familiar connections, including her boyfriend, and has to relocate to a new life. However, when she arrives at her new house, she meets Nick.
My Fault Sequel Potential Release Date
July 29th, 2023 Update
Prime Video has confirmed that Part 2 and Part 3 of My Fault have been greenlit, confirming that we will be getting a trilogy! This was confirmed on their Instagram.
Part 2 of the series will be called Your Fault, while Part 3, presumably the finale of the series, will be called Our Fault.
Prime Video has not confirmed a release date, however, they labeled the poster with “Coming Soon.”

July 8th, 2023 Update
While there is still no announcement of future films of My Fault, fans of the 1st film can be optimistic. There is clearly a fan base, and it is based on a trilogy of books by author Mercedes Ron, so there’s so much more story to be told.
My Fault has had a similar impression to the After series. After the first film, it lifted off, and now we have the fifth film in the series coming on September 13th, 2023, and a prequel is in development.
It’s very likely we will get a My Fault trilogy, so fans can be excited about the future!
June 2023 Update
The announcement of filming My Fault was made on May 18th, 2022, and received a release date of June 2023, with a turnover of around a year. Assuming the film does well, production could begin after Amazon reviews the watch-hour data.
So if Prime Video has what it needs to greenlight a sequel by the end of July and the beginning of August, then production could start in August 2023, with a film available in September 2024 and possibly a release in October 2024.
This is, of course, all speculation at this stage.
Who might be in the sequel?
For a film such as this, the original cast would have to be on board for a sequel.
We could speculate that the main leads would be required to play their roles, so here are the leading players that would have to be featured:
Nick would have to be played by Gabriel Guevara, Noah would require the talents of Anastasia Russo, and we would hope Ivan Sanchez would return as William and Marta Hazaz needs to be Rafaella. In a sequel, I think we would also see the return of Fran Berenguer playing the vengeful Ronnie.
What could My Fault 2 be about?
My Fault 2 will definitely feature the ongoing taboo relationship between Noah and Nick and probably further develop that premise. There is also an opportunity for Ronnie to return, in a subplot, that would see him looking for revenge against the forbidden lovers, and we are sure that is an avenue the writers would explore.
With details of Noah’s past also mentioned, I imagine there could be some development involving fleshing out the back stories of the leads too.
