Joe Pickett Season 2 Episode 6 Recap
The episode starts three weeks ago with Nate hunting when a team on a boat arrives, saying that someone is hurt and they need help. A shootout ensues between the men and Nate, and while he shoots them all, one of them gets him with an arrow through his shoulder. After looting the bodies, he finds a list of names inside one of the jackets. Most are crossed out, but Joe Pickett’s name is at the bottom.
Joe and Marybeth head to the station to help question Frank, but Sheriff Barnum stops them, leading to a confrontation between them. Deputy McLanahan tells them they appreciate their help, but he needs them to leave.
When they get home, Marybeth tells Joe that they both know that Frank isn’t the killer and people will die if they don’t stop them.
Whose name was on the list that Nate found?
Nate takes Cricket to an old friend who will help explain some of what is going down with who is hunting them. As Cricket steps out to use the bathroom, she snoops on the conversation between Nate and Robbie. Robbie reads off the names on the list, and we hear Crickett’s name, who is outside listening and shocked.
Cricket confronts Nate about her name being on the list and him not telling her. She snaps at him for not thinking she deserves to know and tells him that she will return to Saddlestring tomorrow. The following morning, Nate gives Cricket Marissa’s phone records, and while she is happy with them, she said that he has a long way to go if this is the start of his apology tour.
Marybeth spends the day digging through the files of Frank and Blair and finds a file where Frank’s foundation paid for Dan’s funeral. The two continue to peel back the layers of the case leading to them going to the bedroom, but Joe is unable to perform, as he is still struggling.
