Will there be a Season 2 of I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World?

This article discusses whether there will be a Season 2 of the Crunchyroll series I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and its renewed or canceled status.

Yuuya Tenjou is just a normal boy that has been the target of bullying nearly all his life.

Despite going through so much trauma, he still manages to keep a positive attitude and tries his best to be kind to others.

It seems that the only person that cares for Yuuya is his grandfather, but sadly he passes away leaving the troubled teen on his own.

However, it seems that Yuuya is the sole heir to his grandfather’s house, but this only serves to alienate him more from his family, who throw him out of their house, forcing him to live alone in his newly inherited abode.

It is here though that he finds the portal that leads him to a new world, and a new life, with new powers.

Based on the Japanese manga by Miku, the show dropped on Crunchyroll on April 7th, 2023, leading to anime fans wondering about the chances of a second season.

So without further ado, we thought we would have a quick look and see if we can answer the question: Will there be a Season 2 of I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World?

Renewed or canceled status: TBC

At the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation that a second season has been commissioned.

It seems that the producers of the show are holding out just now about the show’s renewal.

Mixed reviews have not helped matters with some viewers saying that this is just another Isekai anime that lacks focus.

Despite a strong opening episode, and some nice visuals, it does seem that the general consensus of the show points towards a downward spiral as the episodes continue.

Currently, on IMDb, it has a rating of 6.3/10 and a MyAnimeList rating of 6.4.

There are thirteen episodes of the show, and the story does have a conclusion of sorts, and the delay in any announcement does not inspire much hope that there will be another run.

The show was produced by Studio Millepensee, who were formed in 2013 by producer Naoko Shiraishiand.

They became known for their work on other anime such as Berserk, Cop Craft, So I’m a Spider, So What? and Wake Up Girls! New Chapter.

If you were a fan of this series, don’t give up hope yet as there is always a chance that when all the metrics have been looked at, a second season will get green-lit.

You can watch this series with a subscription to Crunchyroll.
