Fans of anime were delighted to find The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 2 on Netflix in 2023.
The epic and complex franchise forms its own universe, based on an original story by Nakaba Suzuki, and is a fantastic fantasy adventure featuring demonic entities, desperate quests, and Scottish castles.
This particular film was directed by Noriyuki Abe and Bob Shirahata, and the best way to summarise the plot is to use the official Netflix blurb presented here.

At the time of writing, there has been no confirmation of a third film in this franchise.
That usually means that production has not started on a sequel yet, so if there is another entry planned, it will have to be animated, and that takes time, so in the off chance there is an announcement, don’t expect any product till at least Summer 2025.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh Part 3 cast – who might be in it?
Voice casting can make or break a product, so we would bet that the cast regulars would be approached to reprise their roles. We would expect British artists such as Zach Aguilar as Arthur, Allegra Clark as Derieri, Ben Diskin as Ban, and Erika Harlacher to return.
What could The Seven Deadly Sins: Edinburgh Grudge Part 3 be about?
This is tricky, as the original story has pretty much come to a conclusion. However, there may be another available option for this property. Four Knights of the Apocalypse is a manga sequel that has been in print since 2021 and could be the way forward for the franchise.
Fans are already delighted that an anime series of the show has been promised, so perhaps the story will continue to evolve in this way.
The story is set years after the events of the Seven Deadly Sins, and we follow young Percival, who discovers that his personal destiny involves him becoming part of a group of Knights who will destroy the world.
This would no doubt be the premise for future stories of this incredible universe.
