When done properly, adult animated comedy can be a huge winner for networks. If you go back and have a look, you suddenly realize that there have been a lot more than you first might have thought.
People tend to drift towards The Simpsons and Family Guy, but there are so many other amazing animated series that you might have missed.
Just recently, the incredible finale to The Venture Bros. was released on physical media before getting shown on streaming platforms.
The seven-season sci-fi comedy satire sadly did not get green-lit for an eight outing, but they did get the chance to produce a movie that would tie up the loose plotlines and finish the story for die-hard fans.
It is a classic example of a high-quality animated show that may have flown under the radar but still managed to achieve a massive worldwide fan base. Solar Opposites follows another high-concept premise, created by Justin Roiland of Rick and Morty fame, and is another sci-fi show.
The story is, of course, off the wall and follows a group of aliens that have different views of planet Earth after they crash land there on a mission to find a new planet to colonize.
Korvo and Yumyulack don’t see any beauty in our world and only focus on the negative aspects of our world, meanwhile, Terry and Jesse have found a lot to like here, including junk food and rubbish media content.
Of course, there are many subplots and plots running alongside the main one, and the project manages to build a believable dynamic while presenting some wild sci-fi concepts.
Fans love the show, and just like The Venture Bros. and other animated gems, there is a huge amount of love and dedication to the show.
We have full reviews of the show right here on Ready Steady Cut, and you should really check them out, but this article is looking forward rather than back in time as we answer the question: will there be a Solar Opposites Season 5?
Will there be a Season 5 of the Hulu series Solar Opposites– renewed or canceled status
The news that a fifth season of the show was going ahead was released at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con. It was one of the exclusive pieces of news that the famous convention would drop, at a convention that was usually famous for hosting huge panels of celebrities involved in upcoming shows.
However, the 2023 writers’ and actors’ strikes limited the panels at the show, and there were not a lot of big reveals this year.
However, fans of this particular animated show would be over the moon that there is a fifth season. The news was a surprise, as at the time of writing, season four of the show has still to drop, so it seems the network has huge faith in the property.
