Summary

Bosch: Legacy continues to proceed with a slow build which is good, but the payoff in the long run better be worth the wait.

Harry Bosch is trying to find David Foster’s alibi in Episode 4 of Bosch: Legacy Season 2. While Bosch finds out bad news about Foster’s alibi, two mysterious men enter the picture who are after Bosch and Chandler. As she adapts to being a cop again, Maddie is offered a new position in the department.

The latest installment was released alongside Episode 3, so check out our recap of that episode, too.

After months of living at home with Harry, Maddie has decided to move back into her own place. Although Harry doesn’t love her moving out, he knows Maddie will do what she wants.

Sgt. Edgewood was impressed with Maddie’s ability to knock out the case of the robbery and offered her a job in his department. Filled with excitement, Maddie accepts the offer and will partner with Vasquez.

David Foster told Chandler his real alibi the night of Lexi Park’s murder was James Allen. When Harry heads to speak to his wife, he discovers that James Allen died from a drug overdose.

Harry’s investigation of James Allen leads him to talk to two detectives working on the Allen case. He informed detectives that James Allen was David Foster’s alibi and hoped they could provide him with more details. The detectives let him know that after the autopsy, it was confirmed that James Allen died of strangulation. It was similar to another murder earlier in the week of a male prostitute.

Two mysterious men believed to be the men who killed James Allen, and the other male prostitute have set their eyes on Harry and Chandler. The men follow Chandler, and one calls 911, stating that she is driving all over the road and thinks she is drunk. This is where the men turn on their lights, revealing they are cops, and pull Chandler over.

When the two mystery men pull Chandler over, they ask her if she has been drinking and if she would take a field sobriety test. However, she refuses to do so, leading to the detectives arresting and charging her. The two cops stay behind and break into Chandler’s car.

Harry meets with Martin to sit down to talk to David Foster. Harry informs David that James Allen won’t be sharing a statement or supporting his alibi because he is dead. So, Harry tells David to tell him the truth, or he walks and is done helping the case.

At first, David tells Harry and Martin that he has told them everything, but as Harry goes to walk out the door, David tells him to stop. David tells Harry and Martin that James Allen wasn’t just his drug dealer, but they had been involved (as a couple) for over six months.

Harry and Chandler head to the impound lot to pick up her car. Chandler was confused about how the lot had a key to her car and looked in her trunk, where she noticed her files were misplaced. Harry plays it off as she was a little too drunk and that they need to focus on the David Foster case.
