The 2023 Netflix drama Pain Hustlers is a return to the world of opioid addiction that sees Emily Blunt starring as Liza, desperately taking a job at a pharmaceutical company in Florida, but realizing that her ambition has led her down a dangerous path. The film has been directed by David Yates, whom you might remember from the Harry Potter franchise. Netflix has reportedly paid over fifty million for the streaming rights to the movie, so they are hoping for a good response to the project, which was filmed in the U.S. across a couple of recognizable States.

A lot of the film was shot on location in Florida, and film fans will be incredibly familiar with the locations.
Filming in Florida is appealing as it has many different and varied locales to use, including the city of Tallahassee, the swampy Everglades, and of course the beaches.
Way back in August 2022, Emily Blunt and co-star Chris Evans were spotted in Miami, and Just Jared posted plenty of pics of the pair making their way to a filming location in Miami.
With the film taking place in Florida, it was an easy option to film there, creating authenticity about the production, especially for locals who know the area well.
Atlanta, Georgia, USA
The bustling metropolis of Atlanta was also used in the production of the film, with Just Jared posting pictures of Blunt filming in location in Atlanta, and sharing a joke with a crew member on the set.
An article with director David Yates in Screen Daily also mentioned the filming locations, with Yates saying he was keen to film on location in the U.S. after spending many years working in studios in London.
He explained, “I had never made a film in America, so it intrigued me working in an American landscape.” The director goes on to say, “With this, we were on, sometimes, two or three locations a day in Atlanta, shooting fast. It was a pleasure to go back to that, not waiting for the greenscreen or the puppet to come on.”

Traveller’s Inn, Georgia, Atlanta

In the opening seconds of the trailer, you can see The Traveller’s Inn in Chatham County which seems to be where Emily Blunt’s character, and her daughter, move into.
This particular Inn is located at 5629 Ogeechee Rd., Savannah, Georgia.
