Where was The Killer on Netflix filmed?

Paris, France

The film follows an unknown assassin, a killer for hire who finds himself in trouble after a botched job. The narrative takes him to various locations across the globe, almost mocking the tropes of the James Bond franchise, and with the story taken from the pages of a graphic novel from France, it seems obvious that the first act takes place, and was filmed, in Paris.

The Killer sits and eats fast food while contemplating his life in The Place de l’Estrapade in Paris. The public square is located to the South of the River Seine.

As the film unfolds, and a hit goes wrong for our protagonist, the action shifts to Caribbean, as The Killer tries to duck out of sight to plan his next move. It is here that the plot against the assassin is revealed, and eagle-eyed viewers will notice Columbus Park, confirmed by the statue of Christopher Columbus that is found there.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Filming would pretty much wrap the rest of the movie up in the USA. Our title character is seen picking up some supplies at the supermarket Breaux Mart Chalmette, at 315 E Judge Perez Dr.

Chicago, Illinois

Illinois would double as New York in some scenes for the movie, and locals would spot crews filming at the Midtown Athletic Club, in a pivotal scene for the movie.

An article in The Daily Herald would quote the Mayor of St. Charles in Chicago welcoming the filming of the movie, and stating, “I believe that our Municipal Building is in it, obviously a lot of Main Street is, the Arcadia Theatre is and so is Riverside Pizza.”

It was also reported that filming took place at the historic places Hotel Baker and the Fox River.

Who produced The Killer?

The production companies behind the film were Archaia Entertainment, Boom Studios, Panic Pictures, Paramount Pictures, and Plan B Entertainment.

It may be noteworthy that Boom Studios are a comic book company, and were also involved in the comic book BRZRKR which came from a concept by Keanu Reeves and is tipped to eventually become an animated series, and possibly a film or TV series.
