Inferno Island, where the contestants are forced to cook their own meals and battle for survival, is Saseungbong-do, which you can find in Incheon’s Ongjin County. Saseungbong-do, also known as Sado, is deserted and is also a private island, but it is possible to travel there and visit the areas where the show’s first seasons were filmed.
The island itself is pretty small. All in all, it is around 4km long and 2km wide but the location and size were perfect for the production team’s needs. If you do make the journey to see it for yourself, there is a boat in Incheon that regularly takes visitors to see where the action takes place.

What is the format of Single’s Inferno?
Single’s Inferno is a dating show mixed with a survival show, and twelve singles are encouraged to find a love interest on the island. If they hook up, they get to leave the island for a more idyllic setting.
Throughout the show, the players form relationships as they get to know each other and have to take part in challenges too. They are not allowed to discuss their age or what they do off the island, and they cannot use their phones or electronics while on the island. The object is to date people and win the challenges so they can escape the island.
Some changes were made for the third season of the show, probably in an attempt to mix things up a little for the players and the viewers. One of the new additions to the show features a zombie scenario, where the players have to survive a zombie attack like in Zombieverse.
Well, that escalated quickly.
