Summary
While “Picture Says a Thousand Words” continues the plot, it felt like an underwhelming filler episode. Outside of that, the fight sequences are as strong as ever.
An unlikely ally helps Reacher and the team in the latest episode of Reacher Season 2. Although he is willing to help them, Reacher and the team go rogue, which frustrates their new alley. While told to stay put, the team heads to New Age Technology in hopes of finding evidence of who is trying to kill them. Despite strong action sequences, Episode 3 nonetheless feels a bit like a filler episode and is an underwhelming way to close off the three-part premiere.
Reacher Season 2 Episode 3 Recap
Shane Langston is questioning Franz as he is tied up and being beaten up by his henchmen. Langston asks him one more time to tell him what he knows, and Franz spits blood on his face. This leads to Langston getting in on the action, beating Franz with a metal pipe. We see this leads to Langston pushing Franz alive out of the helicopter.
What happens to Reacher?
The team arrived back in New York, and an officer pulled them over while driving down the road. We see Russo, the man Reacher beat up in an earlier episode, knock on Reacher’s door and tell him to get out. It leads to Russo arresting Reacher and putting him in the cop car.
Who is Azhari Mahmoud?
After arresting Reacher, Detective Russo brings him to the station to ask why they are trying to interfere in a police investigation. A war of words is exchanged, but an agreement about an exchange of information is made. Detective Russo found evidence linking Azhari Mahmoud to the case. Interpol knows him as a weapons broker for terrorist organizations.

O’Donnell realizes that Azhari Mahmoud also has the initials A.M., which directly correlates to the aliases on the paper found on the USB drive.
What happens at Saropian’s house?
After decoding what’s on the hard drive, the team heads to Trevor Seropian’s house, where they believe they will find more evidence about what happened to their team. A shootout ensues, with each team member battling, taking out the bad guys individually. However, nothing in the house gives them any information needed to help them with the case.
How does Reacher Season 2 Episode 3 end?
Detective Russo is furious with how Reacher and his team handled things. Reacher explains that they have put together that New Age is part of the operation and might be employing Azhari Mahmoud. The crew gives him the badge of one of the men at the house, and Russo says he will use it to get an arrest warrant but warns Reacher and the crew to stay put.
Reacher, O’Donnell, Frances, and Dixon defy Russo’s orders by ransacking New Age’s building. Inside, Reacher finds a company picture with all of the employees. When the crew escapes, Reacher shows everyone the picture and realizes Tony Swan was working for New Age.
