The Kurc family is split up all over the country trying to navigate the war, and Germans are taking over their homes in Episode 4 of We Were the Lucky Ones, which will debut on April 4. The series is based on both a book and the real story of the Kurc family, but we’ve seen it deviate slightly in some respects. Let’s explore some directions the series may take heading into the fourth episode.
Halina, Jakub, and Bella will face a new danger in Lvov while Addy searches for Elizabeth in Morocco. Back home, Mila has to do everything she can to protect her daughter Felicia.
What’s ahead for Halina, Jakub, and Bella?
One can only assume that the Germans will close in on Lvov, forcing Halina, Jakub, and Bella out of the city. This will result in them having to make sacrifices that might force them to get split up. While the story doesn’t match up 100% with the true-to-life events, it follows many of the troubling moments the Kurc family faced. If it stays on that same path, Jakub and Bella end up in a work camp in Radom.
This doesn’t speak to what happens to Halina because her story has slightly veered from what happened in reality. In real life, she is already married within this time frame, but as we’ve seen in the show, she and Adam were together, but she broke things off to be friends.
What will Mila do with Felicia?
Mila has been bringing Felicia to work with her daily, and if anyone shows up, they hide her until they are gone. With the risk of keeping her at home too high and things unfolding at work, Mila must decide about her next moves. If it follows real life, Mila takes Felicia and heads out on a mission to escape from the city.
Will Addy find Elizabeth?
After boarding a ship he thought was heading to Brazil, Addy was smitten by Elizabeth. The two shared some moments together on the boat, but the ship stopped, and everyone was thrown off and separated. Nothing has stopped Addy from using his charm and wealth to get to where he needs to, and because of that, I expect he will find Elizabeth. I could see him using their relationship to help him gain visas to rescue his family.
We Were the Lucky Ones Episode 4 Release Date/Time
Episode 4 of We Were the Lucky Ones is scheduled to be released on Hulu on Thursday, April 4th, 2024. The release time is 3 AM EST. Episode 4 is titled “Casablanca” and will have a run time of 51 minutes.
