Summary

With each episode, viewers learn more about the world and the characters, yet it hardly feels like learning when the show is this good and consistent.

After multiple run-ins with Kabru’s party, viewers finally got a look into their party dynamics and motivations in Episode 14. Now, in Delicious in Dungeon Episode 15, viewers see a new alliance between Kabru’s party and Laios’ former companion, Shuro. While this seems like an excellent opportunity for both groups, it will likely have the opposite effect on Laios and his friends going forward.

With so many people who seem to be against Laios, viewers have to wonder just what he was like before to earn a reputation like this.

The episode opens with Laios’ party trapped on the fifth floor of the Dungeon. As they encounter more dead ends, they realize the Mad Mage is shifting the walls around to trap them.

The group grows hungrier as they struggle, causing Senshi to worry about feeding them, especially Chilchuck and Marcel, who he seems to assume are young and still growing. While searching for food and water, they stumble upon a group of Dryad Flowers. Despite killing them, it’s too late to save themselves from contracting Hay Fever, which makes it harder for them to fight without Chilchuck using his senses to guide them.

Laios manages to find Dryad fruits and buds, so Senshi cooks them into a meal. After eating, Marcille decides to teach Laios how to use basic healing magic to help them in the future. At the same time, Senshi, thinking Chilchuck is still a child, tries to teach him about the birds and the bees.

A Magic Tutorial

While Laios seems to have a knack for magic, the embarrassment of touching people while using healing magic is holding him back. Chilchuck says this isn’t uncommon, as intimacy and personal relationships can lead to many groups disbanding.

Chilchuck scolds Marcille for using Black Magic, but she explains her technique, which temporarily rewrote the magic of the Dungeon, is different.

Marcille Gets Petrified

Across the way, the group notices the floors and buildings of the Dungeon are migrating and shifting. When they go for a closer look, they are attacked by a Cockatrice. Although they manage to defeat it, Marcille is bitten and ends up petrified.

Since Marcille is petrified in a dangerous position where she could easily break Laios’ party tries to decide how to go about saving her, as waiting for the curse to wear off could take months or even years.

After four days of searching for supplies, Laios attempts to revive Marcille using her magic book and brings her back.
