The Circle is back on Netflix for Season 6, with another group of hopefuls taking up residency in an Atlanta apartment block where they have to strategize a way to win a hundred thousand dollars in “the ultimate social media challenge”. The series is filmed with a dystopian tint in this swanky building, with apartments you book for $83 a night.

Unlike all previous seasons of The Circle USA, which were filmed at an apartment block in Salford, England — with some funny efforts made to hide this fact — The Circle Season 6 was filmed in Atlanta.

An article in House Beautiful explains the aesthetic look of the apartment building, which you can find at the Sonder Midtown South located in Atlanta, Georgia.

The complex pretty much acts like a hotel, and yes, if you want to experience it for yourself, you can book a room there too.

The production company would give the exterior of the building, and some of the communal areas too, an upgrade to give it more of a social media-friendly vibe. Art director Karen Weber explained that each of the rooms was given a very colorful makeover, and some of the rooms were themed too.

A hot tub and a circular trellis were created for the forecourt and the complex also has a gym, a laundry, and a space outdoors for barbecuing.

How much is this apartment worth?

We don’t know how the building overall is worth, but if you want to stay in one of the apartments there, well… you can!

To recreate the experience of The Circle for yourself, you can grab a room for around $83 a night. That would cover you for a one-bedroom apartment with a balcony, a stocked kitchen, air conditioning, and a king-sized bed.

Prices go up to around a hundred and fifty dollars for a two-bedroom apartment with a balcony.

Who owns the building used in The Circle season 6?

The complex used for the show is part of the Sonder Group under the leadership of CEO Francis Davidson. Davidson is a co-founder of the business and is regarded as “the visionary behind Sonder’s charge to revolutionize hospitality by offering impeccably designed spaces powered by seamless modern technology — all at an attainable price point.”

Having achieved great success globally with the brand, Davidson was named one of the hundred most powerful people in global hospitality.

Why is this season different?

As if the premise of The Circle wasn’t dystopian enough, Season 6 offers a new twist on the format — one of the contestants is an AI bot, entering the game as the ultimate catfish.

As mentioned, Season 6 is also the first to actually take place in the U.S.

If the AI is to emerge victorious in this season, I’m not sure what the says about the state of humanity.
