Dancing For The Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult looks at the controversial 7M Film company that specializes in managing the affairs of influential dancers such as Vik White and Aubrey Fisher who have found fame and fortune through social media and TV appearances.
The company, associated with the Shekinah Church, has been the center of controversy for years, with former dancers suing the company and claiming that it is run like a “cult”.
Vik White and Aubrey Fisher
Vik White, also known as Slavik Pustovoytov, and Aubrey Fisher, are a popular and influential dancing duo, celebrated for their ability and stunning choreography. They upload consistently to social media platforms, including TikTok, and are often seen filming in and around Los Angeles.
The dancers have appeared on shows such as So You Think You Can Dance and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and have crafted out a lucrative lifestyle through their talent.
The two would be dancers in their own right before connecting. Aubrey would reach out to Vik on social media to collaborate with him. Eventually, they would get together, showing off their routines on Instagram, then TikTok. In a two-year period, they would grow their presence, finding millions of followers.
Vik was originally from Ukraine and moved to the US when he was only twelve. After high school, he moved to Las Vegas and attended dance competitions while he expanded his network. His appearance on the TV show So You Think You Can Dance helped push him into the public eye, and increased his leverage on social media.
Aubrey is from Pasadena and would show off his dance ability by starting a YouTube channel. A TikTok dance challenge, where he had to dance to The Box by Roddy Rich, saw him go viral and his partnering with Vik would make them a huge TikTok sensation.
The two dancers would join 7M Film who presumably helped with their finances and helped them gain more exposure.
Did they leave 7M Films?
Aubrey Fisher has been named as one of the dancers involved in suing 7M Film, along with some of the company’s other clients. It has been hard to ascertain the exact status of Aubrey with the agency, and there does not seem to be a record of Vik White being involved in the suit, but more information will no doubt come to light in the future.
As it stands, it seems Vik White is still in some way associated with 7M Film. The Netflix docuseries Dancing For The Devil focuses more on the story of Miranda and Melanie Wilking, two dancers that also found success with their dance videos until Melanie split the sisters up to focus on her own projects and become involved with the Shekinah Church and 7M Film.
