Summary

Unsolved Mysteries continues to provide eye-opening accounts with impressive effort and detail.

Unsolved Mysteries Season 4 is filled with twists and turns, going down the rabbit hole of what happened and whether these cases can ever be solved. Audiences are on an investigative journey as they’re taken through the police files, and their investigations, trying to piece together what might have happened. Multiple suggestions are put forward and the active audience is allowed to decide the outcome.

Episode 1 will draw the Brits in, especially those curious about Jack the Ripper, as we’re taken back to the most baffling, examined, and notorious serial murder case in British history. There have been multiple theories about who Jack the Ripper was, and it’s clear that people are desperate for answers — solving murders from the 19th century would be pretty incredible.

It’s a history lesson in British culture at the time, and how they would investigate a crime way back then. Remember, serial killers weren’t a thing until the 1970’s/80’s.

Unsolved Mysteries covers a range of cases, including crimes of a gruesome nature concerning a severed head, a woman who died in a basement, and a young girl who was murdered on stage next to a piano she would have played in the future.

For paranormal fans, the final episode is spooky as it follows the story of a mysterious flying demon creature, “the moth man” in Chicago. This strange phenomenon of part-human part-avian creatures is a good episode to end the series on; it is a little more lighthearted than the hard-hitting murder episodes in the middle.

Unsolved Mysteries Season 4 continues to use reenactments and interviews to retell the circumstances, and a lot of effort and detail is put into the production, which makes this series largely superior to its competitors. The screeching noises in the final episode are disconcerting — enough to send shivers down your spine — and multiple effects of this nature are deployed throughout.

The interviews are compelling, too, as we hear from experts, family, and friends of the victims, law enforcement, witnesses, and more. There is an honesty and curiosity that is undeniable – everyone wants these cases to be solved, there are just some missing pieces. Will they ever be solved? There are pleas to come forward if you have any information.

Unsolved Mysteries Season 4 is as captivating and compelling as previous seasons, with more dramatic and unbelievable accounts opening the audience’s eyes to stories they’d have no idea about otherwise.
