Summary
Raising Dion Season 1, Episode 6, “ISSUE #106: Super Friends” is a slight improvement, but finds itself getting muddled with other side plots.

Episode 6 delves into Dion’s (Ja’Siah Young) progression as a superhero. He confirms at the start of the chapter that he saw a man in his window the night before within the storm — a common occurrence in Raising Dion. He models an example from lego bricks and shows his mother. He’s got enthusiasm this kid.
Nicole always seems distracted and “ISSUE #106: Super Friends” continues this character development where she is still grieving over her partner’s death, while on the other hand coming to terms with her son’s powers. But then, out of nowhere, she seems to drop the significant events in the story and becomes distracted by a separate story. This is fine, but the Netflix series does not merge the stories well. Nicole gets reacquainted with an old passion in Episode 6 — dancing, while at the same time holding off thirsty attention from Rashad, another dancer.
After more digging, Dion confirms he saw the same man outside his window; the same man that Nicole has a photo of on her phone. Nicole’s concerns over her son peak again; he needs to learn how to protect himself.
She calls the help of Charlotte and initially, the two women have an argument about the training. Charlotte agrees but insists that Nicole has to leave the room so she can train Dion properly.
Meanwhile, Pay gets unexpected news at work. He gets access to a new workspace where the animals and monitoring activities occur. Iceland is in danger since the aurora — it’s disintegrating, and BIONA needs Pat’s knowledge.
We then flit back to the training, and it goes swimmingly, with Charlotte putting Dion under a series of tests to evade danger and attack. Unfortunately, their training is cut short by the landlord, who tries to catch them for being in off-limits space.
Pat and Nicole have a conversation about BIONA; Pat believes that his new access could provide answers surrounding Mark’s death. Pat and Nicole decide to go to a bar and play pool and drink plenty of beers. When Pat walks Nicole home, he swoops in for a quick kiss that ruins the entire night. Once again, Pat’s game is completely off. And it’s his best friend’s widowed wife.
A drunken Nicole finds Mark’s watch on the bedroom floor next to Dion. She realizes there is a hidden SD card inside and alerts Charlotte. They find plenty of data to do with Iceland, but most importantly, there is a list of all people potentially with powers, including Jill Noonan who went missing earlier in the series.
As Raising Dion Season 1, Episode 6, “ISSUE #106: Super Friends” ends with BIONA using a drone to monitor Nicole’s house. They manage to retrieve footage of Charlotte teleporting.
